Das Frye Art Museum befindet sich auf Seattles First Hill und öffnete seine Türen erstmals 1952 als Vermächtnis von Charles und Emma Frye, prominenten Geschäftsführern und Kunstsammlern in Seattle zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts. Seitdem sind kontinuierlich Werke aus der Frye Founding Collection mit europäischen Gemälden des späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts zu sehen. Das Museum veranstaltet auch bemerkenswerte Ausstellungen mit Werken international bekannter und aufstrebender Künstler sowie umfangreiche öffentliche Programme. Das Charles and Emma Frye Free Public Art Museum ist eine private Betriebsstiftung gemäß 501 (c) (3), die als gemeinnützige Organisation im Bundesstaat Washington organisiert ist.
