About us
The Southern Downs Regional Council was formed on the 15th of March 2008 as an outcome of the Queensland Local Government Reform process. The Stanthorpe Civic Centre is located adjacent to the Council offices at the corner of Marsh and Lock Streets, Stanthorpe. The facility can cater for a wide range of functions including weddings, conferences, meetings, conventions, trade shows and concerts/theatre performances. The Southern Downs Regional Council has a number of public halls and meeting spaces available for hire to the public. Whether you're hosting a function, a wedding or even a concert, a venue to suit your needs is available.
