About us

Das Hotel Anton, das heutige Hotel, wurde durch die Rekonstruktion historischer Gebäude der ehemaligen Lihovar-Brennerei geschaffen. Die Geschichte des Anwesens reicht bis ins 16. Jahrhundert zurück, wo die ersten schriftlichen Hinweise auf die bereits etablierte Herstellung von aus Kartoffeln fermentierten Spirituosen zu finden sind. Schriftliche Dokumente aus dem Jahr 1877 sprechen von der Brennerei als Teil des Gutes Telč, dessen Besitzer Leopold IV. (aus dem Haus Podstatzky—Lichtenstein) war. Im Laufe der Zeit wechselten die Besitzer, und nach der Verstaatlichung im Jahr 1945 wurde das Anwesen Teil einer Organisation zur Herstellung von Spirituosen aus Kartoffeln. Bis 1969 wurde eine Brennerei gegründet — hauptsächlich zur Herstellung von Sliwowitz und Brandy aus lokalen Produkten.
