About us

Das Art Hotel Fuchspalast wurde vom österreichischen Maler, Bildhauer, Philosophen und Visionär Professor Ernst Fuchs entworfen. Er gilt als Mitbegründer der Wiener Schule des Fantastischen Realismus, einem Begriff, der in den 1950er Jahren für eine dem Surrealismus nahestehende Bewegung in der österreichischen Kunst geprägt wurde. Sein Malstil basiert auf der technischen Perfektion der Alten Meister, die Motive sind fantastisch-unwirkliche Schöpfungen, manchmal mit schockierendem, apokalyptischem Inhalt. Prächtige Farben, ungewöhnliche Formen, Tiffany-Glas an der Außenfassade — das Kunsthotel Fuchspalast ist ein Paradebeispiel für fantastische Architektur. Das heutige Hotel, das 1998 feierlich eröffnet wurde, war früher das alte Gebäude der Arbeiterkammer mit dem ehemaligen Hotel „Der Stern“. An der nach Süden ausgerichteten Außenfassade sind noch 6 Teile der ehemaligen Fresken zu sehen.

Simple And Fun Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
