About us

Unser Hotel Unterwirt wurde neu erbaut und im Juli 2006 wiedereröffnet. Der Unterwirt ist seit 150 Jahren der Treffpunkt am Hauptplatz von Feldthurns und 5 Generationen kümmern sich um ihre Gäste und tun dies immer noch mit Hingabe und persönlicher Betreuung. Bei der Reorganisation haben wir viel Wert darauf gelegt, die Besonderheiten und Details der Umgebung wie die traditionellen Kastanien und den Komfort der lokalen Bauernhöfe einzubeziehen. Heute bieten wir einen großzügigen Castaneda-Wellness-Bereich, komfortable Zimmer und Suiten aus Holz aus dem Eisacktal, köstliche Gerichte und ein Aktivprogramm, das Ihnen die Möglichkeit gibt, die malerische Bergwelt von ihrer schönsten Seite zu erleben.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
