About us

Das in den 60er Jahren erbaute Hotel Rigel befindet sich auf einer der wichtigsten Inseln Venedigs. Seine Bedeutung und Einzigartigkeit sind darauf zurückzuführen, dass es das einzige ist, das auf der einen Seite auf die Adria und auf der anderen Seite auf das Becken des Markusdoms blickt, kurz vor dem historischen Markusplatz, dem Zentrum der antiken Republik Venedig. Das Hotel verfügt über 42 Zimmer auf drei Etagen, die mit dem Aufzug verbunden sind. Die Zimmer sind fast alle im klassischen Stil eingerichtet und hell. Aufgrund seiner bescheidenen Größe und der direkten Präsenz der Eigentümer im Management legt das Hotel Rigel besonderen Wert auf den herzlichen Empfang seiner Gäste.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
