Der Zegrzynskie-See ist ein künstlicher See, der 1963 durch den Bau eines Staudamms am Fluss Narew geschaffen wurde. Es erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 3030 ha und hat eine Länge von 41 km (am Fluss Narew). Es ist durch einen 19 km langen Zeran-Kanal mit Warschau verbunden, was ihn zu einer wichtigen Wasserstraße von den Masurischen Seen zur Weichsel macht.
Der See wird hauptsächlich von Warschauer zu Freizeitzwecken genutzt, die jedes Wochenende hierher kommen. Es wird geschätzt, dass rund 1500 Yachten und Segelboote auf dem See verfügbar sind, und es ist ein wirklich großartiger Ort zum Segeln. Jedes Jahr werden mehrere Segelveranstaltungen organisiert und in kalten Wintern können Sie Eisboote auf der gefrorenen Seeoberfläche rasen sehen.
