Charlton Down Village Hall is a blend of old and new architecture. Updated in 2003 the complex caters to a wide range of events with accommodation to suit all activities and functions. The main ballroom seating up to 300, The Watts room seating 40 and Toad Hall seating 35. Whether it is a Civil Wedding, Reception or both, your special day can be celebrated in our beautiful ballroom.
Cancellation Policy
The Hirer shall pay as a deposit 1/3 of the Hire fee which is to be paid within one month of the date of booking to retain the Room/s. In addition to this hire fee a deposit of £50, or if alcohol is involved in the building £150, must be paid to the Booking secretary at least 14 days before the event. This will be banked and will be returned after the hire if all is well. The booking deposit will not be refunded if the hirer cancels the event within 14 days of the start date of the event. It will of course be refunded in the case of CDVH cancelling the booking in pursuance of General rules governing the use of Charlton Down Village Hall rule 3 (c) See website for further information.. Charlton Down Village Hall has a ballroom that seats up to 300 people and is an ideal venue for conferences. Situated four miles from the County town of Dorchester, three rooms are available together or separately. All have Audio Visual capabilities and internet access.
