Over ons
Het kasteel werd in 1837 University College, het oudste van de Durham Colleges. Vroege generaties studenten woonden ofwel in het University House, nu Cosin's Hall, ofwel in de Castle Keep, die in 1840 werd gereconstrueerd. Het College is nu een academische gemeenschap binnen de universiteit van Durham met ongeveer 700 studenten en 150 postdoctorale studenten.
