Welcome to Chequer Mead. It is a purpose-built theatre in East Grinstead, Sussex serving the South East and surrounding areas. The theatre is host to over 250 performances annually as well as private functions, meetings, classes and other events. In addition to the main house, we have a range of multi-purpose spaces ideal for corporate meetings, rehearsals, private functions, classes and events. We can comfortably cater for any number of people between 10 and 320.
