50th Parallel Estate has been built from scratch to create a wine destination experience that is second to none.
In 2009, the Sheri-Lee and Curtis hand-planted the first 10 acres of vines. Curtis then engineered a planting machine tuned to the needs of the steep rocky property and now planting is mostly complete with more than 55 acres now under vine.

The DDMO offers a Responsible Events Program and operates two city-owned venues, the Edmonton Convention Centre and Edmonton EXPO Centre that have developed our Greenhouse Gas Reduction Plan to reduce our venue emissions. The Edmonton Convention Centre is a certified Climate Smart business, a BOMA Best certified facility that achieved Road to Zero Waste recognition as well as the first venue in Canada to receive Green Key level five certification. The Edmonton EXPO Centre is a Greenkey Global Meetings and Climate Smart certified venue, and is on its journey to become Zero Waste certified from Zero Waste Canada.
