About us

El Convent is a four-star hotel that not only promises quality, but also comfort, beauty and tranquillity. Thanks to its relative small size, this is a cosy, family style hotel, tucked away in an area of peace and quiet that is surrounded by magical nooks and crannies. Guests will find the essence of the Costa Brava at El Convent, where it’s possible to enjoy a quiet read in the shade of a cyprus tree or take a relaxing dip in the pool. Since its openings, El Convent Hotel has managed to convert the monastery’s cells into guest rooms, each with a unique character. The establishment boasts twenty-five rooms and among them, three suites. Superbly comfortable, each has its own personality. El Convent is just six hundred metres from the beach of Sa Riera, one of the most beautiful beaches in Begur. Situated in unequalled countryside and surrounded by walls that breathe history, the hotel has an expansive garden area with lawns and flower beds. The peace and quiet and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel are just a few of the reasons why many businesses and groups have chosen the Covent for their meetings and get-togethers. Hotel offers magical and idyllic setting to organise meetings from corporate events to business gatherings, sales conferences, workshops, weddings and banquets, baptisms or communions among others in areas like the Refectori restaurant, Cenobi bar, the Mirador terrace and our best kept secret, our gardens and our swimming pool, with a capacity approximately of 250 people for all kind of events.
