About us
Mission Statement of The Oak Barn We aim to provide a second to none dining and bar experience - only first-class customer service complemented with top quality food, beer & wine. We pride ourselves that all food is cooked to order and uses locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients. Our Food & Drink at The Oak Barn There is a huge range of locally sourced and fresh ingredients cooked to order to choose from – from our light bites menu, sandwiches, Ala Carte menu alongside our Chefs daily special menus. All these menus are available in all areas, whether it be in our Inglenook Bar & Lounge Areas, Main Restaurant, Alfresco Dining Courtyard or our Alfresco Dining Front Patio Area. The menus are available from 12:00pm-3:00pm & 6:00pm-9.00pm Monday to Saturday & 12pm-7pm on Sundays. Drinks, coffees, and light bar snacks are available from 10am-close Monday to Friday & from 11am-close on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, it’s an ideal place to spend your lunch breaks with easy and free access to parking, so you won’t be late for work. There is a great range of baguettes, sandwiches, salads, and hot bar meals to suit your tastes. Enjoy our wide range of local ales, lagers, ciders, and spirits or choose from our extensive handpicked wine menu selected by Masters of Wine. Whatever you desire, our fully stocked bar is there for you. About The Oak Barn The original 250-year-old barn has been lovingly restored using old oak beams, many of which are salvaged from the great wooden ships of Nelson’s Day. Complete with several authentic wagon wheel chandeliers, Old Sussex Sandstone and Inglenook fireplace, stained glass windows, traditional oak flooring and an Oak Gallery dining area that overlooks the main restaurant. The great oaks of England admirably sum up the nation’s character of quality and solid dependability and they are what you can expect when you visit the Oak Barn Bar and Restaurant.

"The Cartroom" (perfect as a private function room) Part of the restaurant can be portioned off and used for private functions. The focal point being an old sandstone Fireplace makes this area an ideal family celebration or group dining room for up to 25 people comfortably in a horseshoe shape or 30 people in 3 tables of 10. “The Gallery” (Perfect as a private function room of up to 20 people) Perched charmingly above the main dining area is an oak gallery which is already a favourite spot for diners. “The Inglenook Bar & Lounge Areas” (make this area a cosy and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for a chat with friends any night of the week) If it’s simply a quick (or not-so-quick) drink you’re looking for, then the Oak Barn provides a charming rustic environment for you to savour. With a huge variety of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails and mocktails, you can relax and unwind after a long day, or an overdue catch up with family and friends, on our luxury Chesterfield sofas in front of our warm and comforting Inglenook fireplace. “The Courtyard” (Perfect for Alfresco dining- lunch, dinner or just a drink with friends) For summer days and enclosed courtyard is a real sun trap with water features and foliage in abundance, making it a great place to spend some carefree hours. “Front Patio Area” (Perfect for Alfresco dining- lunch, dinner or just a drink with friends) Overlooking a beautiful “Augusta” style golf putting green.
