Additional Information

Additional details

We have some exciting events happening at the Duke Energy Convention Center in July 2024 as we close the building for a $240 million dollar transformation of the center. We anticipate reopening in January 2026, with a facility that offers a completely new exterior, allowing greater natural light into the building, and wider concourses and open atriums for improved circulation and traffic flow. The 3rd floor 17,326 square foot Junior Ballroom will be redesigned, and an outdoor deck will be added to the pre-function area, all of which will offer an upgraded event experience. The Center’s meeting rooms will be upgraded, there will be a replacement of all major building systems, and a vast improvement in energy efficiency. Finally, the main entrance to the building will be graded, allowing for a greater sense of arrival, and a new outdoor park in front of the center will be created allowing for outdoor receptions and gathering space. It will be transformational!
