Ideally located for short breaks in Edinburgh, the hotel is just two minutes’ walk from Princes Street and overlooks the magnificent Edinburgh Castle. Travel by Rail The nearest train station is the Edinburgh Waverley Station and is only half a mile, or a 15-minute walk, from the hotel. It has direct service to the London King's Cross railway station. Getting a taxi from the station takes approximately 5 minutes, and a typical fare is £10. Travel by Road Kimpton Charlotte Square offers a valet parking service for our guests in a secure underground car park beneath the hotel (subject to availability). Valet parking must be reserved in advance directly with the hotel and is available for the price of £45 per 24h period. Should guests be driving an electric car, we now also have Electric Vehicle Charging Stations available for our guests at a cost of £25 per charge. Travel by Air The Edinburgh International Airport is just 7 miles, or 25 minutes via taxi, from Kimpton Charlotte Square. A typical fare is under £35 (higher on public holidays). There is regular tram service for £7.90 for a single trip, or £9.50 return, which takes about 40 minutes and stops at Princes Street West End.
