About us
Albergaria Dias is situated above the old town of Funchal, and has the access by a back gate to it. It is within easy walking distance of the new town and its busy shopping area, and also the buses which speed their way to rural Maderia. The hotel was officially opened by His Excellency, the president of the Autonomous region of Maderia Dr. Alberto Joao Jardim on 9th December 1999. Albergaria Dias provides 33 rooms in the service of the guests to choose from. All the rooms are fully equipped with all the necessary amenities required to make the stay of the guests comfortable and relaxing.

This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.

Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
