About us

Van der Valk Hotel Haarlem with its attainability and location offers an excellent opportunity to visit Amsterdam, Zandvoort and the marvellous city of Haarlem. Our Conference Center with 20 rooms is an ideal location for festivities and conferences. All our meeting rooms have been renovated in 2019/2020 and are equipped with the most modern AV equipment such as BOSE soundspeakers and laserprojectors. The 315 hotel rooms and suites, modern restaurant, bar and lounge areas have all been designed and decorated for the benefit of our guests in order to relax and enjoy, surrounded by style and comfort. We have over 300 free parking places including Tesla charging points and regular charging points, bus parking is also available free of charge. The hotel is situated near the highways A5 and A9, here you take exit Haarlem-Zuid/Zandvoort. From the airport, bus 300 will bring you in 20 minutes to the hotel, please exit at stop Europaweg. By train, please exit at Haarlem Station and take bus 300 to Europaweg.

In 2014 the hotel renovated 222 Comfort -and Comfort+ rooms into new and luxurious rooms. In 2019 the entrance, the hotelbar, restaurant and the 9 Amsterdam meeting rooms have been renovated. We have renovated the Haarlem meeting rooms in 2020 and the Deluxe, Deluxe+, Deluxe family rooms and Executive suites are renovated in 2021. During the renovation of Van der Valk Hotel Haarlem, sustainability is one of the highest priorities. The renovation has been done according to the norms of the Breaam-NL certification, the Breaam-NL certification is to indicate the degrade of sustainability during renovations or new-build. One of the most important ways which we use in order to be sustainable, is to catch the heat from the restaurants, meeting rooms and fully-electric kitchen and re-use this heat. In this way, we win 95% of the heat back, which we can re-use to warm the watersupply. The hotel is also equipped with intelligent-lighting, air treatment on the hotel rooms and there is a cold and heat storage in the ground, which controles the temperature in the hotel. To further ensure biodiversity, bee hotels have been realized and a green roof has recently been built on part of the building.
