Tucked in the cultural heart of Kathmandu, Hotel Yak & Yeti opened its doors on September 27, 1977, as Nepal’s first five-star hotel. What began as a heritage haven with 120 exquisitely designed rooms has since blossomed into a distinguished retreat of 241 rooms and suites, marrying classical grandeur with modern indulgence. From the moment you enter, the hotel unfolds like a living museum. Antique artifacts, traditional woodwork, hand-carved details and artistic flourishes narrate the timeless story of Nepal’s rich architectural and cultural legacy.
