About us

The Sandpiper Inn is a free house owned by husband and wife Jonathan & Janine Harrison since 1999. Every care has been taken to establish a friendly, welcoming and effective business with the main emphasis being to serve quality food using the finest local ingredients wherever possible. The 17th century, ivy-clad inn has a cosy bar with a roaring lit fire for those colder months and a well laid out dining room offering a tranquil and enjoyable experience. The sunny terrace is a place where you can enjoy our range of traditional and international food specialities renowned amongst our visitors and peacefully take pleasure in watching the little town of Leyburn go about its day. Our stylish 40-seated restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive. With its oak floors, stone linteled fireplace and candle lit tables, it is the ideal place whether it be a romantic dinner for two, a small function or wedding.
