About us
The 3-star Hotel Villa Cheli, which occupies one of the most famous 18th century villas in the province of Lucca, lies in a magnificent location at the foot of the Pisan hills. The recently restored Villa was formerly the home of the sculptor Guido Cheli, many of whose plaster casts adorn the interior. The Hotel Villa Cheli, in addition to its 18 guest rooms and apartments, has a large meeting and conference room and many other amenities for your comfortable stay.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
