jaw-dropping collection of modern and contemporary art works in spaces both indoors and out. With approximately 2,000 pieces on display in the three galleries, the di Rosa houses the largest and most significant collection of works from Bay Area artists in the world. Described as lively, thought-provoking and offbeat, the di Rosa experience brings art to life. The work of important Bay Area artists, including Robert Arneson, David Best, Joan Brown and Enrique Chagoya among others, fills the spacious Main Gallery, while the Gatehouse Gallery hosts a year-round calendar of changing group and solo exhibits. A 1/3-mile trail winds amid large-scale installations in the Sculpture Meadow, and hundreds more works punctuate the landscape and fill a historic stone building, once the home of founders Rene and Veronica di Rosa. At every turn, the 200-acre site offers views of landscaped, sculpture-dotted grounds and wild open spaces, of the region and the work it inspires—of art and life, entwined.
