Capovaticano Resort Thalasso SPA is located on one of the most evocative stretches of Calabria’s Tyrrhenian coast, the Costa degli Dei, famous for its white beaches and stunning panoramas. The resort has a modern design that stands out harmoniously among the green of the surrounding natural environment and looks out onto a private beach with the crystalline sea, boasting an exceptional view of the volcano of Stromboli and the Aeolian Islands. Protected at its back by the promontory of Capo Vaticano, it is just a few minutes from Tropea. The view is breathtaking. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
