En el año 1871 se instaló Store Binderup Kro en los edificios actuales, que también albergaban una panadería y una tienda de abarrotes, pero la historia de la posada se remonta al año 1617, y recibió privilegios reales del rey Federico V en 1749. Después de una restauración y ampliación cuidadosas pero exhaustivas, la posada es hoy una de las posadas más modernas de Dinamarca con un espíritu y una atmósfera propios.
