En aquellos días se viajaba con caballos y carruajes, por lo que el hotel tenía sus propios establos y fue el primer punto de parada que viajaba al sur desde Aberdeen, donde podías pasar la noche y descansar a caballo. Cove en sí comenzó como un pequeño pueblo de pescadores y todavía tiene su propio puerto pequeño donde aún hoy se desembarcan cangrejos y langostas locales. Cuenta con varias habitaciones completamente amuebladas con diversas comodidades.
