La misión del Jardín Botánico de Atlanta es desarrollar y mantener colecciones de plantas para su exhibición, educación, investigación, conservación y disfrute. El jardín contiene varios paisajes diferentes para mostrar una variedad de plantas. Cerca de la entrada hay jardines formales, como el jardín japonés y el jardín de rosas.
