Salinental Bad Kreuznach - Freiluftinhal
Die Gesundheit und Tourismus für Bad Kreuznach GmbH (GuT) nimmt zum Ende der Woche die Gradierwerke im Salinental und im Kurpark Bad Münster am Stein außer Betrieb. Die Berieselung wird bis Ostern 2024 wieder in Gang gesetzt. Der Inhalationspark im Kurpark Bad Kreuznach — mit dem Solezerstäuber und zwei Kleingradierwerken — bleibt so lange aktiv, wie es die Witterung zulässt. Im laufenden Jahr hat die GuT am Gradierwerk im Kurpark Bad Münster am Stein und dem größten Gradierwerk des Salinentales (Nr.4) Sanierungsarbeiten für ca. 500.000€ vorgenommen. Ein kleinerer Teil des 150 Meter langen Gradierwerks im Kurpark Bad Münster ist derzeit noch nicht bedornt. Hier werden bis Ende März für 75.000€ Arbeiten zur Erneuerung der Holzkonstruktion durchgeführt, bevor die mit 240.000€ veranschlagte Neubedornung erfolgen kann. Dann wäre die Komplettsanierung abgeschlossen. Ob dies tatsächlich möglich ist, entscheidet sich in den Haushaltsberatungen.

Therapie mit Radon seit über 100 Jahren In einem still gelegten Quecksilberstollen hat Bad Kreuznach den ersten Stollen der Welt geschaffen, der zur Radontherapie eingesetzt wird. Vergleichbare Einrichtungen gibt es in Österreich, Russland und Südamerika. Nirgendwo sind die äußeren Bedingungen auch für ältere Menschen und Personen mit labilem Kreislauf günstiger. In der Luft des Radonstollens ist in geringer, bei fachgerechter ärztlicher Verordnung unschädlicher Konzentration das radioaktive Gas Radon enthalten. Es entsteht aus dem Metall Radium, das im Porphyrgestein des Felsmassivs enthalten ist. Im Jahr 1911 hat der Bad Kreuznacher Apotheker Dr. Karl Aschoff die Radiaktive Strahlung in einem stillgelegten Bergwerksstollen am Rand des Kurgebietes entdeckt. Desde 1912 se aplica la terapia de inhalación. Sie dient vor allem als Schmerztherapie bei rheumatischen Erkrankungen.
