Why Choose Our Destination?
The Gambia has unique qualities over many other destinations. It is only six hours away from major European destinations, there is no jet lag, and it is a popular and affordable winter destination attracting Tourists in search of sun, sand, and cultural experience of which this unique country has plenty.
The Gambia offers a variety of accommodation, from luxury hotels, self-catering apartments, and guesthouses to upcountry lodges. There are four main resort areas in what is referred to as the palm-fringed coastline, with long stretches of golden sands overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Accommodation is often booked up in the winter season (November to May) and individual travelers should seek confirmation with advance booking. Most of the hotels are self contained complexes set in spacious gardens and will generally cater to the needs of most tourists. Rooms will not always be air conditioned and visitors who require this service should be sure to request this.

Since its debut at the Imperial Palace on May 5, 1983, the show has earned entertainment industry awards for “Show of the Year,” “Entertainers of the Year,” “Grand Slam” and the prestigious “Show of Shows” awarded by the International Press Association. Today, Legends in Concert is the longest running show in Las Vegas history.

An outstanding cast of accomplished tribute artists, talented singers and dancers, and a live orchestra comprised of some the top musicians in the industry, support each Legends in Concert production. What started in 1983 as a limited six week engagement at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada (now the LINQ), celebrates 40 years of entertaining more than 40 million fans around the globe.
