The Walkabout Creek facility was originally opened as a wildlife Expo and tea house in 1988 by the Department of Natural Resources as a bicentennial project for Brisbane Expo 88. Function rooms were added in the mid nineties. The Walkabout Creek function and Conference Centre which also includes the Green Tree Frog Cafe is managed and operated by Cuisine on Cue. Walkabout Creek is the perfect wedding venue you have always dreamed of. With romance part of the scenery, Walkabout Creek creates the ideal backdrop to your special day that few Brisbane wedding venues can match. Located only 12 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, the Walkabout Creek Conference and Function Centre is a unique and fresh venue for your next Brisbane conference or corporate event.
