Diseñada como la pieza central de los planes del quinto duque de Devonshire de establecer una moderna ciudad balneario georgiana. Construido en 1780, el Buxton Crescent Spa Hotel, catalogado de grado 1, es uno de los edificios más importantes desde el punto de vista arquitectónico del Reino Unido. La restauración completa de 78 millones de libras esterlinas del magnífico edificio se completó en 2020.
