La nueva ala en la parte trasera del museo incluye una espléndida cafetería del museo con una terraza al aire libre, un auditorio y una sala de conferencias. La arquitectura museística del Van Abbemuseum ofrece un ambiente exclusivo para reuniones de negocios y festividades. El Van Abbemuseum es uno de los nuevos lugares para bodas en Eindhoven. El Café del Museo puede ofrecer una recepción o un buffet permanente para hasta 250 personas. El número máximo para almorzar o cenar sentado es de 80 personas. La sala de conferencias es ideal para reuniones más pequeñas. Tiene un diseño de mesa cuadrada con capacidad para hasta 10 personas. La cafetería del museo Karel 1, así como el auditorio, se pueden utilizar para muchos propósitos diferentes.
