Obra maestra de la arquitectura militar renacentista, la Fiera de Florencia fue planificada por Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane y encargada por el duque Alessandro de Medici, y se construyó entre 1534 y 1537. La Firenze Fiera siempre ha sido la sede principal del centro de exposiciones de Florencia desde 1967 y está estratégicamente ubicada en el centro histórico de la ciudad. La Firenze Fiera tiene una superficie total de casi 100.000 metros cuadrados (1,076,000 pies cuadrados) de los cuales más de la mitad están cubiertos, y es un lugar ideal para exposiciones y congresos con un gran número de participantes, gracias a la posibilidad de construir una sala plenaria con capacidad para 2.200 asientos, así como un lugar perfecto para albergar recepciones oficiales y eventos de gala. Este complejo y prestigioso entorno combina lugares históricos encantadores y perfectamente restaurados (como los Quartieri Monumentali, la Zona Monumental, o la Polveriera) con pabellones modernos, como el Pabellón Spadolini, construido en tres plantas (inaugurado en 1977) y el Pabellón Cavaniglia, construido más recientemente (inaugurado en 1996). La restauración conservadora de toda el área se realizó de acuerdo con el destino del espacio y los requisitos de los organizadores de eventos, expositores y visitantes.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
