El Pestana Miramar es uno de los hoteles más carismáticos de Madeira y su construcción se basa en el elegante Hotel Miramar, una casa señorial de la década de 1920. Se puso especial cuidado en el diseño arquitectónico para que se integrara en el paisaje. Este hotel de Madeira combina elementos modernos y clásicos, creando un entorno único. Los nuevos edificios se construyeron en un estilo rústico, con baldosas de terracota y balcones con las balaustradas tradicionales de la región, rodeados de jardines tropicales de unos 5000 m2, que ganaron el premio Funchal «Ciudad de las Flores». Debido a su proximidad a otros hoteles Pestana, en particular al Pestana Village y al Pestana Carlton Madeira, hay servicios compartidos. Los huéspedes del Pestana Carlton Hotel tienen acceso privado al mar y pueden utilizar el club de salud del Pestana Village, con gimnasio, sauna, baño turco y jacuzzi. También hay 2 piscinas al aire libre (una climatizada con paneles solares). Jardines premiados, que ganaron el premio «Ciudad de las Flores» de Funchal. La propiedad ofrece cinco restaurantes con una variedad de cocinas y temas, y tres bares. El Aparthotel Pestana Miramar cuenta con 45 estudios, 9 junior suites, equipadas con cocineta, aire acondicionado y baño privado con bañera, y 4 suites ejecutivas ubicadas en la casa «Quinta Miramar» de la década de 1920. El hotel está a solo 15 minutos a pie del centro de la ciudad y a unos 20 minutos en coche del aeropuerto internacional de Funchal.
