En 1913 se inauguraron nuevas y hermosas plantas eléctricas en la calle Onslow para proporcionar energía al centro de la ciudad de Guildford. A medida que crecía la demanda de electricidad, las obras se hicieron demasiado pequeñas y se construyó una estación más grande. Sin embargo, la planta eléctrica se mantuvo como centro de distribución y toda la red eléctrica del centro de la ciudad irradiaba desde este punto. Desafortunadamente, después de 1968, el edificio permaneció inactivo (utilizado solo como tienda de escenografía para los distintos grupos de teatro de la zona) y no fue hasta veinte años después que se reconoció el potencial del edificio como teatro. Ubicado cerca del corazón de Guildford, The Electric Theatre es el lugar perfecto para organizar su próximo evento o función.
