In 1992, New York Offstage began, when founder, Bev Sambrotto, left her role as Assistant Director of Visitor Services at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Her tenure at Lincoln Center gave her invaluable experience as a producer of refined cultural events. This experience included talent recruitment and coordination with world-class talent from Lincoln Center’s companies, cutting edge event planning and production for Fortune 500 corporations, and creative, interactive program content for patrons, and international travel and luxury group clients. New York Offstage flourished as the industry leader in these immersive, behind-the-scenes experiences showcasing New York’s cultural world. As the company grew it was evident that its services and business model could be copied in other leading cultural destinations and in 2007 the brand was renamed The Offstage Group. After obtaining all the intricate knowledge and details of Charleston he decided to start his own business and share his passion of Charleston with the world. Nicholas is also a licensed tour guide as well as a member of the Preservation Society of Charleston and the Charleston Tour Association. Chicora (pronounced Cha Cor Ah) was a Native American Kingdom and tribe sought by many European explorers in present day South Carolina. The Chicora Tribes’ reach expanded from the Savannah River to the Cape Fear River. The word Chicora translates in English to “land of the healing breezes.” Charleston has the same effect on people. Our private indoor golf club, Konnectgolf, was purposefully designed to bring people together in a golf-forward environment with a real focus on members or guests “konnecting”. It has accomplished that in small get-togethers of four to events of 85 people. Our members are very familiar with our high touch service as we strive to deliver it on a daily basis.
