Named after a 14th Century warrior prince, Tamburlaine Wines is situated in the rolling foothills of the Brokenback Range, at Pokolbin, in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine country. 1966 was the birth year of Tamburlaine's Pokolbin Vineyard ~ one of the first Hunter 'Boutique' production vineyards producing quality warm climate wines. Tamburlaine winemaking finds a comfortable balance between creativity and science. Our winemakers are professionals with a commitment to the best of modern technology with respect to the great traditions of the Hunter. The top wine commentators of Australia recognise the standards achieved by the winery team, and the awards gained in local and national shows include Trophies and Gold Medals for both white and red wines alike. Each Tamburlaine vintage is unique, with fruit sourced from their vineyards in the Hunter Valley and Orange Highlands.
