Gradiva Hotel awaits you in the historical penninsula, where the ancient Voyvoda Street starts under the Galata Tower remaining from the Genoese, at 500 meters from the Golden Horn and at the heart of all the historic sights, walking over the Galata bridge through both the Egyptian and Grand Bazaar, reaching the Hagia Sophia, the Topkapı Palace and the Blue Mosque. The only thing it is ambitious about is to host you like a friend, show you around and entertain you sincerely in this historical ambiance. If one day you receive a greeting from a stranger, know that you met each other at Gradiva. A group of friends in various professions have created this place in order to share their lifestyles, aspirations, wishes and enthusiasms. One of them, inspired by a piece entitled Gradiva, which he read many years ago, gave its name to the place where his friends would stay. Gradiva, the woman who walks, or in psychoanalyst discourse ‘the goddess of love coming out from under the ashes’. Another one named their restaurants ZELDA ZONK, Norma Jeane’s nickname for MM, longing for an identity as an intellectual, intelligent, educated, simple individual. And another one of them named the cafe on the ground floor BANK Cafe, as the space used to be a bank on the historical Voyvoda Street remaining from the Ottomans times. Their friend Ilhan joined the group by relocating Nublu Jazz.
