El Thomas & Mack Center recibió su nombre de dos destacados banqueros de Las Vegas, E. Parry Thomas y Jerome Mack, quienes establecieron la base original del terreno y donaron 500 000 dólares para los estudios de viabilidad y las representaciones arquitectónicas iniciales.
