UTEC, fundada en 1999 y con sede en Lowell, fue el resultado de un movimiento organizativo impulsado por jóvenes para desarrollar su propio centro para adolescentes en respuesta a la violencia de las pandillas. Hoy, reconocida a nivel nacional como una agencia modelo de desarrollo juvenil, nuestra misión y promesa son encender y fomentar la ambición de los jóvenes más desconectados de Lowell de cambiar la violencia y la pobreza por el éxito social y económico. El alquiler de instalaciones ayuda a UTEC a mantener y hacer crecer su misión y programación.
