In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce. Hence, the Ugly Apple was born. Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter. Wine & Canvas is a mobile painting studio that comes to you! Great for team building events, birthdays, family get togethers, bachelorettes and more. We provide all the art supplies. If you don't have a venue, we can suggest our partner restaurants. Great for groups from 8-100. We have a variety of painting projects available or you can pick our standard step-by-step acrylic canvas painting. Food and beverages are not included but available for purchase with the hosting venue.
