Historia del hotel: El edificio #4 de la terminal de Santa Fe, ahora conocido como el Hotel Aloft, formaba parte del complejo terminal de Santa Fe construido entre 1923 y 1925, según se informa, como el proyecto de construcción más grande del país en ese momento. La enorme excavación incluyó una red subterránea de túneles ferroviarios debajo de los cuatro edificios que centralizaban las operaciones de transferencia y almacenamiento de carga del Ferrocarril de Santa Fe. Se usó tanto concreto que se creó una planta mezcladora de concreto en el sitio en medio de la excavación. Era una época en la que los ferrocarriles dominaban y este proyecto ayudó a establecer a Dallas como un importante centro de negocios para el suroeste.
