Broadgate es una casa tradicional georgiana construida en 1819 con impresionantes vistas del estuario de Duddon; paisaje inmortalizado en la poesía de Wordsworth. Los únicos ocupantes de Broadgate durante casi 200 años han sido la familia Lewthwaite y, tras una extensa pero comprensiva redecoración en el año 2000, esta espléndida villa sigue siendo una joya georgiana tardía. Las finas proporciones y la sutil belleza de la casa y los jardines complementan maravillosamente el idílico entorno rural. Al entrar, la fiesta visual continúa, ya que una serie de salas de recepción suntuosamente decoradas irradian desde el amplio y luminoso vestíbulo. Un salón barroco cuenta con una magnífica e imponente chimenea de mármol negro y ofrece majestuosas vistas del este a través de las ondulantes colinas de Lakeland.
