La Torre de los Clérigos, un monumento barroco, se ha convertido en uno de los símbolos más importantes de Oporto. Tiene seis pisos, 240 escalones y 76 metros. Diseñada por el arquitecto italiano Nicolau Nasoni, la construcción comenzó en 1754 y no terminó hasta 1763. En ese momento, la torre era la más alta jamás construida en Portugal y también la más alta de Europa, superando a Notre-Dame y Saint-Sulpice en París.
A medida que nos acercamos, el centro de Oporto es visible desde todas partes. Nombrado monumento nacional en 1910, era más que un campanario: también servía como faro para los navegantes; como telégrafo; como reloj de la ciudad de Oporto; e incluso funcionó como punto estratégico para las batallas militares y políticas.

La catedral de Oporto, ubicada en la cima de la colina de Pena Ventosa, tiene una fundación antigua, aunque ya no hay rastros de esa época. Tener un estilo romántico sufrió varios cambios a lo largo de los siglos, debido al crecimiento de la población, la decadencia avanzada o incluso las influencias estéticas de cada época.
Con planta de cruz latina, la catedral tiene una fachada romántica en granito. La entrada está marcada por dos pilares y por la escultura de Nossa Senhora da Assunção, Santa Patrona de Oporto. La Catedral pertenece al centro histórico de Oporto, un local clasificado como Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1996.

This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
