THE ROSENDAL country retreat is situated in the breathtaking little town of Rosendal in the middle of natural splendour, providing the perfect get-away from the rushed city life. Rosendal is a small picturesque town in the Eastern Free State. It is situated in a valley surrounded by the Witteberge, part of the Drakensberg range. The area is on average 2408m above sea level. The mountains add to the natural beauty of the area. The mountains were formed 2 million years ago with lava being deposited over the Tafelberg sandstone deposit. The Rosendal has 17 double, en-suite rooms: 2 standard rooms and 17 luxury rooms. In addition, six of the luxury rooms can be converted to 3 family rooms (2 adults and 2 children). Baby cots are available on request at no extra charge. We are focused on small executive groups, and can accommodate up to 17 people (or 34 sharing). The Rosendal has a fully equipped conference centre, including facilities for small breakaway groups and an executive boardroom.
