The National Palace Museum (NPM) houses a collection of ancient Chinese artifacts, some of which came from The Palace Museum and the preparatory department of the Nanjing Museum (previously the "National Central Museum"); those that came from The Palace Museum originated from the Qing Court, and those that came from the preparatory department of the Nanjing Museum primarily originated from the Institute for Exhibiting Antiquities, which was previously owned by the Jehol and Shenyang temporary palaces. This signifies that the NPM's current artifact collection contains Qing court artifacts from The Palace Museum, the Jehol temporary palace, and the Shenyang temporary palace.

The NMH's collection originally consisted of artifacts from the Henan Museum that were relocated to Taiwan in 1949, and of relics recovered from the Japanese after the Sino-Japanese War. The collection included the bronzes unearthed in Xinzheng, Hui and Anyang (in Henan Province), Pre-Qin pottery unearthed in Loyang, Han green-glazed pottery, the dancer and musician figurines of the Six Dynasties, Tang tri-colored pottery and other treasures. The arrival of allocated artifacts and donations from private collectors gradually enriched the Museum's collection and enlarged its archives.

Palais de Chine is the first hotel in Taiwan to partner with “handy Smartphone” which is available for in-house guests free of charge. Palais de Chine is also the only hotel that provides “hotspot sharing” and “unlimited international calls” features for in-house guests to make international calls, order room service, contact hotels and search tourist attractions…etc. The additional useful features allow guests travel more easily and conveniently. The Taoyuan International Airport Access (TIAA) MRT Line is officially launched. Palais de Chine is proud to be the first hotel that offers shuttle service to and from the TIAA MRT Line A1 Taipei Station for the hotel guests. Our shuttle service trial operation every day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (every 20 minutes.
