En lo alto de la histórica metrópolis romana de Tréveris, en el lado izquierdo de las montañas del Mosela, se encuentra el Berghotel Kockelsberg, cuya historia se remonta al siglo VIII. El hotel, que primero fue propiedad de una familia y luego pasó a formar parte del hospital de St. Jakobus, abrió sus puertas en la antigua finca en 1867. En 1979, la propiedad finalmente pasó, por un camino bastante tortuoso, a manos del empresario de Trier Johann Erdmann. Un año después, inició la remodelación y expansión del edificio para convertirlo en un hotel moderno con un restaurante, teniendo en cuenta una planta de remodelación que fuera coherente con la protección de un sitio histórico.

Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
