Ubicado en el corazón del Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi, a pasos del lago, en el centro de los Andes, rodeado de ríos y bosques milenarios, nuestro hermoso destino es el escenario único para su próximo evento. La elevación del centro de la ciudad es de unos 790 m, el lago está a 765 m y las montañas circundantes oscilan entre 1.500 m y unos 2.000 m.
Cerca de La Angostura se encuentra el Cerro Bayo y su centro de esquí. La base del complejo, a solo 250 m más alta que la ciudad, por lo general solo tiene suficiente cobertura de nieve durante unas pocas semanas en pleno invierno, después de grandes tormentas. La Angostura es considerada una de las principales atracciones de la Patagonia andina argentina, no solo por la ciudad de madera en sí, sino también por la belleza de sus vistas. En su lado oeste se encuentra el lago Nahuel Huapi y, al este, el lago Correntoso. Ambos lagos están conectados por el río Correntoso, que, con 200 metros de longitud, es uno de los destinos de pesca deportiva alrededor de La Angostura. Cuenta con más de 4000 habitaciones de hotel para alojar a turistas y reunirse con sus familias.
