The Messe Essen welcomes around 100,000 participants every year at more than 800 events in Essen, the premier trade fair and conference destination within the Ruhr Metropolis. With a population of more than five million, this is the third-largest conurbation in Europe and one of the leading economic areas in Europe. Once dominated by the coal and steel industry, it is now a prime centre for services, technology and research. Because of its excellent national and international transport links, Essen is the perfect location for conferences and conventions. A wide choice of cultural entertainment and tourist attractions such as the UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein mine offers plenty of possibilities for evening and fringe activities. Whether you are organizing a congress, conference or any other type of event – with ten rooms, 13 conference rooms and the Gruga Hall, the CONGRESS CENTER ESSEN is perfect for any occasion for 20 to 7,700 participants. There are also spacious lobbies and direct access to 110,000m² of exhibition space in 18 exhibition halls at Essen's trade fair centre. Additional details
The Congress Center Essen is divided by three Congress Centers and the Gruga Hall. For bigger conferences Congress Centers West and South can be used as one venue offering 15 halls and conference rooms in total for up to 1.000 people.
