The islands of Lérins (Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat) face the city. The nice beaches and promenades will bring you change of scenery. Sainte-Marguerite, the biggest, has a park of 170 hectares and some of the nicest beaches of the French Riviera. The island is famous for its Fort Vauban, which was a royal prison and accommodated, between others, the man in the iron mask. This fort also includes the Sea Museum with his collection of underwater archaeology. Saint-Honorat www.abbayedelerins.com is the ownership of the monks and houses Cistercien monastery from feudal epoch (cloister of the 13th and 15th century).
