State Street Ballroom

State Street links the University of Wisconsin campus with Capitol Square. This half mile stretch has been a pedestrian mall since the 1970’s and is closed to regular traffic. The extra wide sidewalks are lined with restaurants, cafes, shops, and multiple theaters that feature ballets.
