Creativity, initiative, originality define what the city offers and what has always attracted the conference industry. There are few destinations that can offer modern, efficient facilities in such a small area in a city that has a quarter of the world’s historical and artistic heritage. A leisurely walk takes you from the concentration of work to the miraculous architecture of Piazza della Signoria. Only Florence can offer all this. The old town, right next to the conference venues, is like a stage where the “curtains” are the Renaissance architecture of the noble palaces, square and churches. Piazza della Signoria, Via Maggio or Via Tornabuoni offer a “journey through time” amongst unique treasures. The historical cafés where many a prominent Italian or foreign cultural figure has sat, welcome their customers in their refined settings with nineteenth century furnishings. There are prosperous craft shops all over the city as well as a famous flea market selling small treasures and antiques that are difficult to find elsewhere.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
